Additional information

Didecanoyl peroxide has a high octanol/water partition coefficient and is insoluble in water. Based on these physico-chemical properties and the fact that soil exposure is unlikely, when released in the environment the substance is expected to mainly partition in sediment phase. However, didecanoyl peroxide is readily biodegradable and slowly hydrolysable which does not indicate any concern in terms of persistency in the environment.
