Principles of method if other than guideline:
The modification of method DIN 38404-5 is due to a sample preparation step. As the pH-value is
defined in an aqueous matrix only the sample (10 %) had to be extracted with deionised water (90 %)
first and the measurement was done in the water phase afterwards.
