A guideline study accomplished according to OECD guideline 301B detected less than 10 % degradation based on CO2 evolution after an incubation time of 28 days (Unilever Research UK, 1993). Thus the substance is not readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria. However, in an non-GLP biodegradation study according to OECD guideline 301D a biodegradation of 64.8% could be observed after extending the exposure duration up to 60 days. Thus, the test substance is considered as not persistent.
