Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Details:

To verify the insolubility of the test item in the immersion liquid, the density of the immersion liquid “Shellsol T” was measured before and after the determination.

ρ(Shellsol T (20 °C) before determination (g/cm3): 0.760

ρ(Shellsol T (20 °C) after determination (g/cm3):    0.761

No significant change in density was observed. Under the conditions used for the determination (temperature, incubation time) the test item is insoluble in the immersion liquid.

Description of key information

Relative density: 0.94

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
0.94

Additional information

A relative density value of 0.94 was determined using the pycnometer method according to EU Method A.3. This is supported by a measured density value of 0.86 g cm3 at 80 °C.
