Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
1. Description of first aid measures
Inhalation:
Remove person to fresh air. If you feel unwell, get medical attention.
Skin Contact:
Immediately wash with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. If signs/symptoms develop, get medical attention.
Eye Contact:
Flush with large amounts of water. Remove contact lenses if easy to do. Continue rinsing. If signs/symptoms persist, get medical attention.
If Swallowed:
Rinse mouth. If you feel unwell, get medical attention.
2. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
See Section - Information on toxicological effects
3. Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment required
Not applicable
Fire-fighting measures
1. Extinguishing media
Non-combustible. Choose material suitable for surrounding fire.
2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Closed containers exposed to heat from fire may build pressure and explode. Exposure to extreme heat can give rise to thermal decomposition.
Hazardous Decomposition or By-Products
Substance Condition
Carbon monoxide During Combustion
Carbon dioxide During Combustion
Hydrogen Fluoride During Combustion
Oxides of Nitrogen During Combustion
Oxides of Sulfur During Combustion
3. Advice for fire-fighters
When fire fighting conditions are severe and total thermal decomposition of the product is possible, wear full protective clothing, including helmet, self-contained, positive pressure or pressure demand breathing apparatus, bunker coat and pants, bands around arms, waist and legs, face mask, and protective covering for exposed areas of the head.
Accidental release measures
1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Ventilate the area with fresh air. Refer to other sections for information regarding physical and health hazards, respiratory protection, ventilation, and personal protective equipment.
2. Environmental precautions
Avoid release to the environment.
3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Collect as much of the spilled material as possible. Place in a closed container approved for transportation by appropriate authorities. Clean up residue. Seal the container. Dispose of collected material as soon as possible.
Handling and storage
1. Precautions for safe handling
Avoid skin contact with hot material. Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood. Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/spray. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash thoroughly after handling. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Use personal protective equipment (eg. gloves, respirators…) as required.
2. Conditions for safe storage including any incompatibilities
Protect from sunlight. Store away from heat. Store away from areas where product may come into contact with food or pharmaceuticals.
3. Specific end use(s)
See information in Section - handling and storage recommendations. See Section - exposure controls and personal protection recommendations.
