Description of key information

The substance consists mainly of 4,4'-isopropylidenediphenol, phenol and diphenyl carbonate of which phenol has by far the highest vapour pressure. Therefore, the vapour pressure of the substance can sufficiently be described by that of phenol which is 20 Pa at 20 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
20 Pa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The substance was shown to mainly consist of 4,4'-isopropylidenediphenol, phenol and diphenyl carbonate whereas the individual components are characterised by the following vapour pressure values:

Phenol:20 Pa at 20 °C

4,4'-isopropylidenediphenol: 1.61E-07 Pa at 20 °C

Diphenyl carbonate: 0.014 Pa at 20 °C
