First-aid measures

General information: Move victim out of danger zone. Position and transport victim on their side. In case of

respiratory distress, bring into semi-upright, seated position. Remove contaminated

clothing immediately and dispose of safely. Put victim at rest, cover with a blanket and

keep warm. Do not leave affected persons alone. In case of accident or unwellness,

seek medical advice immediately (show directions for use or safety data sheet if possible).

After inhalation:         Provide fresh air. In case of breathing difficulties administer oxygen. No mouth-to-mouth

or mouth-to-nose resuscitation. Use Ambu bag or ventilator. Immediately get medical

                                     attention.

In case of skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and dispose of safely.

After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water. Subsequently wash off

                                        with: ammonia (3 5).

After eye contact:         Immediately flush eyes with plenty of flowing water for 10 to 15 minutes holding eyelids apart.

After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water. Subsequently wash off

                                       with: soda solution, diluted.

                                       Subsequently consult an ophthalmologist.

After swallowing:         Rinse mouth immediately and drink plenty of water. Give activated carbon (20 - 40 g in a

suspension of 10%). Danger of aspiration!

                                       Do not induce vomiting.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media:

                                      Foam, extinguishing powder.

Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons:

                                      Water.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

                                      Combustible

May form dangerous gases and vapours in case of fire.

In case of fire may be liberated: Sulphur oxides, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.

Advice for firefighters

                                     Special protective equipment for firefighters:

                                     Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

                                     Wear suitable protective clothing.

                                     Use acid-proof equipment only.

Additional information: Cool endangered containers with water jetspray. Use water spray jet to knock down  vapours.

Do not allow fire water to penetrate into surface or ground water.

                                           If necessary notify appropriate authorities.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

                                       Wear suitable protective clothing.

Environmental precautions

Cover drains. Do not allow to penetrate into soil, waterbodies or drains.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up

Plug leak if safely possible. Isolate leaked material using non-flammable absorption agent

(e.g. sand, earth, vermiculit, diatomaceous earth) and collect it for disposal in appropriate

containers in accordance with the local regulations (see chapter 13).

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling

Advices on safe handling     Wear suitable protective clothing.

When using do not eat, drink, smoke, sniff.

The danger areas must be delimited and identified using relevant warning and safety signs.

Work place should be equipped with a shower and an eye rinsing apparatus.

Working places should be designed to allow cleaning at any time.

Precautions against fire and explosion:

The floor should be leak tight, jointless and not absorbent. Do not use air pressure to deliver.

                                       Usual measures for fire prevention.

Inspect electric installations more frequently for corrosion damage.

Welding operations are permitted only under supervision.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Requirements for storerooms and containers:

Keep container tightly closed. Keep only in the original container.

                                       storage temperature: 10 °C up to 30 °C.

Average shelf life of 2 years.

                                       Use shatter-proof packaging.

Protect from moisture contamination. Protect from sunlight.

Only trained personnel may be allowed to enter storage area.

Hints on joint storage Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs.
