Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The log Koc value of the substance (5.41) indicates, that the substance is immobile, since it adsorbs very strongly to soils or sediments according to FAO mobility classification. Hence, contamination of environmental compartments like surface waters, sediment, soil and groundwater via horizontal and vertical transport is not expected. The very low vapour pressure of the substance indicates that the risk of environmental contamination via the air is very low. Hence, the issue of transport and distribution in all compartments of the environment is of no concern.

The removal of the substance during sewage treatment was estimated using the STPWIN™ module of EPI Suite™ v.4.11. STPWIN™ uses several outputs from EPI Suite™, this program predicts the removal of a chemical in a typical activated sludge-based sewage treatment plant. Values are given for total removal and three processes that may contribute to removal: biodegradation, sorption to sludge, and air stripping. The program assumes a standard system design and set of default operating conditions. For the present calculations, these default operating conditions were used. The results show that 93.25% of the substance was removed during wastewater treatment by adsorption to sludge.
