Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
administer oxigen. If person is not breathing, artificial
respiration can be attempted. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate with large amounts of water for 15 minutes, seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with water and soap. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention or transport to hospital
immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
(see 3.1.00).
Fires may be extinguished with water, carbon dioxide, or dry
chemical powder. Fight fire from a safety distance; divert
runoff to a safe area.
Product arising from burning: None known.
Product determined by test: Y
Protective equipment: Wear full protective clothing and use self contained
breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
inhalation of dust. Sweep up using clean tools and place
into sealed containers (for liquid spills, i.e. solutions,
use sand or other inhert adsorbents for taking up).
Handling and storage
careful use are recommended to minimize dust generation.
Protect eyes, skin and respiratory system; use approved
personal protection and gloves when handling. Wash
thouroughly after using.
Storage: Store in sealed unbreakable containers, protected from light
moisture and heat.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: For 10-Deacetylbaccatin III, a multylayer sack is used, made
up of:
1) A polyester external layer
2) An aluminum layer
3) A nylon layer
4) An alimentary use polyethylene internal layer
2.5 Kg of product are packaged into each sack, which is then
sealed.
Each sack is placed inside a tin-plated steel container,
with hermetical closure and plastic seal.
Packaging is completed by introducing 1 or 2 containers (of
product from a same batch) inside "Kraft" type cardboard
drums (UN approved packaging material - 2 sizes are
available, for 1 or 2 unit packaging, with similar
characteristics).

Stability and reactivity
Chemical reaction with water: None dangerous known.
The substance readily degrades in contact with strong bases.
Dust explosion: As for all organic powders, explosion hazard may exist if
dusts are released in presence of sparks, flames, static
electricity etc.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: By using strong bases.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: None specific known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Yes.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Yes.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: --
