Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water; seek medical advice
if necessary.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove all contaminated clothing. Wash skin with plenty of
soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink plenty of water with activated carbon. Seek immediate
medical advice if the person feels unwell.
Fire-fighting measures
or carbon dioxide are suitable.
Product arising from burning: Products arising from pyrolysis: Products of combustion may
include oxides of carbon, nitrogen and sulfur as well as
hydrogen chloride gas and some soot.
Protective equipment: Protective equipment: Protective clothing and respiratory
protective equipment should be worn.
Accidental release measures
industrial vacuum and store in labelled containers. Absorb
spilt solutions using suitable adsorbent and transfer to
labelled containers. Disposal should be in accordance with
local regulations eg by incineration.
Handling and storage
chemicals. Avoid contact with skin or eyes. Wear suitable
protective clothing, gloves and eye protection. Avoid dust
formation. Keep away from food or drink stuffs.
Storage: Store in dry, sealed containers at room temperature.

Stability and reactivity
Chemical reaction with water: Chemical reaction with water: None reported.
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Discharge at suitable landfill sites under controlled
conditions is possible, but not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration at an approved facility is the recommended
method of discharge. Waste gas purification should be
employed to remove oxides of sulfur, nitrogen and hydrogen
chloride gas.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Possible (the substance has a very low water solubility and
is expected to be removed by filtration and sludge
adsorption).
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will only enter the public domain as a very
small component of consumer articles.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Formulated material may be disposed of as domestic waste.
