Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove person from contaminated area. If breathing has
stopped, resuscitate and administer. Seek immediate medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes holding lids apart to ensure flushing of the entire
surface. Washing eyes within several seconds of exposure is
essential to minimize damage. Seek immediate medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Immediately wash contaminated skin with plenty of soap and
water. Remove contaminated clothing and footwear. Wash
clothing before reuse. Discard footwear. If irritation
continues, seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: If swallowed induce vomiting.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person,
obtain immediate medical attention. If vomiting occurs
spontaneously, keep airway clear. Seek immediate medical
attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, CO2, dry chemical.
Product arising from burning: Toxic gases: COx, NOx and HCl when heated to burning.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing
apparatus.
Keep containers cool to prevent release of material.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Wear protective
equipment, safety goggles or face shield, neoprene or rubber
gloves and chemical resistant coveralls, hat and shoes or
boots and self-contained breathing apparatus with chemical
cartridge.
Evacuate spilled area. Avoid dust.
Contain spill and soak up in suitable absorbent. Shovel into
suitable container. Dispose accordance with local, state
and federal regulation.
Handling and storage
Handling: Use local and mechanical exhaust ventilation. Eye wash
station and safety shower near work area.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
Wear protective equipment, safety goggles or face shield,
neoprene or rubber gloves and chemical resistant coveralls,
hat and shoes or boots and self-contained breathing
apparatus with chemical cartridge. Do not breath mist or
vapours.
Loosen cover cautiously when opening.
Wash thoroughly after handling.
Storage: Keep container tightly closed and away from ignition and
heat. Outdoor or detached storage is preferred. Avoid
loading together with explosive, oxidizing materials and
organic peroxides.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 25 kg card board drum.
