All test organisms were acclimated to the control diluent water in breeding/rearing tanks. Food was withheld for the 24 h preceding the start of testing. Ten juveniles, as uniform in size as possible, were collected from the breeding colonies. The first and second larval instar were used.

Nominal concentrations were employed. The material is completely water soluble. In addition, based on analytical measurements, stable 100 mg/l concentrations of the test material were maintained in an algal toxicity study. Thus, the use of nominal concentrations is justified.
