Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
test procedure in accordance with national standard methods
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: ASTM E 794-06
GLP compliance:
not specified
Type of method:
differential scanning calorimetry
Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
-63 °C
Remarks on result:
other: sample EP-AT.N 5
Melting / freezing pt.:
-66 °C
Remarks on result:
other: Sample EP-AT-N 01
Conclusions:
The melting and freezing points of the samples were determined using DSC. None of the samples has a
freezing point, melting point, or Tg. Because the DSC results were inconclusive, the samples were also
analyzed by DMA by slowly cooling the sample and monitoring the rise in viscosity. Normally a material that
freezes undergoes a sharp increase in viscosity. EP-AT-N 5 has a gradual increase in viscosity. The extrapolated
freezing point is -63°C and should be taken as the center of a range of freezing rather than a distinct freezing point. EP-AT-N 01 has a gradual increase in viscosity. The extrapolated freezing point is -66°C and should be taken as the center of a range of freezing rather than a distinct freezing point.
