Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: The substance is not volatile, but if exposed to dust,
remove person to area of fresh air. Seek medical advice if
signs of discomfort.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes. Seek medical advice immediately. Show copy of
safety sheet to medical staff.
Treat as for amines or amine solution.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and
wash before re-use. Seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water and drink small quantity of water
(500 ml). Do not induce vomitting.
If signs of discomfort or if large quantity ingested, seek
medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: No special pracautions for the substance or preparation.
Water, water spray, carbon dioxide or chemical foam.
Product arising from burning: Complete combustion will lead to carbon dioxide, nitrogen
oxides and water. Under confined conditions, incomplete
combustion may lead to the formation of carbon monoxide
and amines.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: No special precautions, although face protection with
breathing apparatus, coveralls and chemical resistant rubber
gloves are recommended.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Collect material and dispose of as hazardous waste. The
area of spill may be washed with with large quantities of
detergent and water.
Avoid release of the substance to watercourses, soil and
drains.
Handling and storage
Handling: Protective equipment when handling the substance in bulk or
during transfer prior to formulation should include suitable
butyl gloves, goggles and protective outer clothing.
The preparation is considered to be hazardous and no
special precautions are recommended.
Storage: No special precautions.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Expected to be imported in plastic containers containing a
maximum of 20 litres of the dilute preparation.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not possible to recover after use or if spilled.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Small amounts can be mixed in a large excess of water.
The diluted solution is not considered to be dangerous.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: This is recommended for disposal
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: No other methods recommended for disposal
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable for the public.
