- Storage condition of test material:At room temperature at about 20°C
Key result
Remarks on result:
no self ignition observed under the test conditions

Using a linear increase in temperature of about 0.5°C/min, T002251 showed no exothermic reaction. T002251 has a melting point at about 123°C. As the above mentioned guideline only applies to solids, the temperature range between 123
°C and 400°C is not relevant for the present test item. At the end of the measurement T002251 had run out of the sample cube due to melting.

Conclusions:
T002251 is not auto-flammable, according to the criteria as described in the guideline.

Description of key information

The auto-flammability potential of T002251 was determined in a K1 GLP study (Tognucci, 2004) carried out according to EC A.16. In the EC A.16 test no self-heating was observed up to 400°C. No self-ignition temperature could be determined, since T002251 showed no exothermic reaction.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
