Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Registration/ Notification status for the use:
use registered according to REACH Article 17/18
Contributing activity / technique for workers
Name of activity / technique:
•The product is received by the operators who check that it has been accepted by the quality control.
•The pinacolone is then loaded via a sealed pump from the barrel using a dip stick. Local ventilation is provided above the drum to prevent product vapours from entering the air. These vapours are then treated.
•The loaded reactor is brought to 82°C with agitation.
•The reactor is inerted with Nitrogen by 3 sweeping cycles.
•The product is then sent to a closed circuit filter.
•The finished product STI239 is conditioned in this way
•The waste is also conditioned as waste and treated off-site.

Sampling
During the process, once mixed, the product is taken from the synthesis. It is taken at least once, at most twice. It is taken directly through a vacuum sampling and then analyzed in the laboratory.

Waste
Process waste is disposed of under an internal name. It is stored and then treated (incinerated) off-site.
Process category (PROC):
PROC 1: Chemical production or refinery in closed process without likelihood of exposure or processes with equivalent containment conditions
PROC 8b: Transfer of substance or mixture (charging and discharging) at dedicated facilities

PROC 15: Use as laboratory reagent
Sector of end use:
SU 9: Manufacture of fine chemicals
Substance supplied to that use in form of:
in a mixture
