The 96h LC50 of rhodium (III) nitrate hydrate for fish is 116 mg/L. The 48h EC50 for rhodium (III) nitrate hydrate for Daphnia is 120 mg/L. For algae, the 72-hour EC50 and EC10 based on growth rate are >0.91 and 0.26 mg/L, respectively. The 72-hour EC50 and EC10 based on biomass are 0.88 and 0.12 mg/L, respectively. The 72-hour NOEC based on cell growth is 0.037 mg/L. All studies are GLP compliant and followed standard test guidelines but there are limitations in the study designs and the pH of some of the test solutions was outside guideline limits and may have influenced results. All studies have therefore been assigned Klimisch scores of 2 (reliable with restrictions).
