Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No toxic effects have been observed in two studies with Eisenia fetida according to OECD 207. No effects at the highest test concentrations were observed and in both studies a 14d-LC50 of >1000 mg/kg dry soil was determined.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The toxicity of the test substance to soil macroorganisms has been investigated in two studies according to OECD 207. In both studies, Eisenia fetida were kept in samples of precisely defined artificial soil to which the test substance had been applied. In the first study (BASF 2015, 67E0326/14G105) the earthworms were exposed to the test item at concentrations of 62.5, 125, 250, 500 and 1000 mg/kg. In the second study (BASF 2015, 2015ESG0150R) the earthworms were treated only with a limit concentration of 1000 mg/kg. On day 7 and 14 the worms were removed carefully from their test vessels. During this process, morphological and behavioral changes and mortality of the earthworms in each test container were recorded. After 14 days of exposure a LC50 of >1000 mg/kg dry soil was determined in both studies.
