Additional information

A study was conducted to determine the ready biodegradability of the test substance according to OECD Guideline 301 D (closed bottle test). Activated sludge from a wastewater treatment plant was exposed to the test substance at 5 mg/L. Oxygen consumption was followed for 28 d. Under the study conditions, the biodegradation of the test substance was determined to be 12% after 28 d. The substance was therefore not considered to be readily biodegradable (Franke, 2001).
