Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Partition coefficient
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
ca. 6.27
Temp.:
30 °C
pH:
7.1
Details on results:
The retention time of the test material (22.609 , 22.589 minutes) was slightly shorter than that of the most retained reference substance (DDT, 23.768 minutes). The log10Pow for DDT is 6.5. The calibration curve was linear over the range of reference chemicals, with a correlation coefficient of 0.997.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The partition coefficient of the test material has been determined to be 1.84 x 106 , log10 Pow 6.27.
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient of the test material has been determined to be 1.84 x 106, log10Pow6.27, unsing HPLC method, Method A8 of Commission Directive 92/69/EEC.
