First-aid measures

Generall measures:
Remove contaminated clothing and shoes.

Inhalation:
Move exposed person to fresh air. Keep person warm and at rest. If unconscious, place in recovery position and get medical attention immediately.

Skin contact:
Flush contaminated skin with plenty of water and soap. Get medical attention.

Eye contact:
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Check for and remove any contact lenses. Continue to rinse for at least 10 minutes. Get medical attention.


Ingestion:
Do not induce vomiting. Get medical attention

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media:
Suitable: carbon dioxide (CO2), foam, extinguishing powder, spray jet
Not suitable: full water jet

Hazardous combustion products: carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, traces of hydrogen cyanate. Do not inhale gases developed during fire or explosion.
Fire water contaminated with this material must be contained and prevented from being discharged to soil, groundwater or any waterway.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:
Put on appropriate personal protective equipment. Provide adequate ventilation. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering.

Environmental precautions:
Avoid dispersal of spilt material and runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drains and sewers.

Spills:
Absorb with an inert dry material and place in an appropriate waste disposal container.

Handling and storage

Handling:
Follow general precautionary measures when handling chemicals. Use only with adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. in general, take precautionary measures against electrostatic charging depending on apparture, handling and packing of the material.

Storage:
Store in original container in a dry, cool and wellventilated area, away from incompatible materials and food and drink. Keep container tightly closed and sealed until ready for use.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Hand protection:
Recommended materials (EN 374-3): nitril rubber - NBR: thickness >=0,35mm; breakthrough time >=480min; butyl rubber - IIR: thickness >=0,5mm; breakthrough time >=480min; fluoro rubber - FKM: thickness >=0,4mm; breakthrough time >=480min. After contamination with product change the gloves immediately and dispose them off.

Eye protection:
Wear safety googles and a face shield.

Skin and body protection:
Personal protective equipment for the body should be selected based on the task being performed and the risks involved and should be approved by a specialist before handling this product.

Hygiene measures:
Keep separated from foodstoffs, drinks and tobacco. Wash hands, forearms and face thoroughly after handling chemical products, before eating, smoking and using the lavatory and at the end of the working period. Appropriate techniques should be used to remove potentially contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated clothing before reusing.

Stability and reactivity

Possibility of hazardous reactions: Under normal conditions of storage and use, hazardous reactions will not occur.
Hazardous decomposition products: Under normal conditions of storage and use, hazardous decomposition products should not be produced.

Disposal considerations

Emptied packings can be deliverd to receiving offices of the withdrawal system of the chemical industry for recycling. Recycling has to be carried out according to relevant national and local regulations.
