Additional information

Strontium ferrite is an inorganic substance. In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, No 7.8, the partition coefficient study (n-octanol/water) does not need to be conducted as the substance is inorganic. The scientific background is that determination of the partition coefficient n-octanol/water (log pow = P-value) applies only for organic substances.

In accordance with

- column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, No. 9.3.1 as well as Annex IX, Numbers 9.3.2 and 9.3.3

- column 2 of REACH Annex X, No. 9.3.4 (where further information on the environmental fate and behaviour and/or degradation products does not be considered if the CSA does not indicate the need to investigate further the fate and behaviour of the substance. The outcome of the CSA does not indicate the need for further degradation testing.)

- in conjunction with the fact that strontium ferrite is inorganic

the test for adsorption/desorption as to Annex IX of REACH, No. 9.3.3 is not required.
