Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Experimental melting range in air atmosphere of the test item in the supporting study: 80 to 96°C (353 to 369K)
Experimental melting range of the test item in the key study: 85.4 to 93.3°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
80 °C

Additional information

Two studies were performed to determine the melting range of the test item. Both of these studies were performed in accordance with the standard guidelines (OECD Guideline 102: Melting point /MeltingRange) and GLP. No deviation of the guidelines was observed during the test. The two studies were performed after an interval of 3 years so the choice of the key and supporting study can't be based only on the age of the study.

The melting range of the key study is more specific in the key study than in the supporting study. Moreover, the melting range of the supporting study included the result of the key study.
