Description of key information

The melting point of the substance is reported to be 80.5 °C at ambient pressure.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
80.5 °C

Additional information

A literature review was conducted. In a weight of evidence approach the literature values were evaluated. HSDB reports the melting point to be 80.5 °C. REAXYS reports the melting point to be between 81 -82 °C, the GESTIS database reports the melting point to be between 78.5 and 81.5°C at 1013 hPa and the Physical Pro perties of Triphenyl Compounds of Group VB Elements report the melting point to be 80.5 °C.. Four independent literature sources report the melting point to be in the same range. Thus, a melting point of 80.5 °C at 1013 hPa which originates from the peer-reviewed database HSDB is choosen to be the most valid one.
