Administrative data
First-aid measures
Eye Contact: Exposed eyes should be irrigated thoroughly with copious amounts of lukewarm water for at least 15 minutes. Contact a supervisor and medical personnel immediately.
Skin Contact: Wash exposed area thoroughly with soap and water for at least 15 minutes. If an irritation develops, contact a supervisor and medical personnel immediately.
Inhalation: Move victim to fresh air. Monitor for respiratory distress. Contact supervisor and/or medical personnel.
Ingestion: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious or convulsing person. Have the conscious and alert person drink one to two glasses of water and contact a supervisor and/or medical personnel immediately
Fire-fighting measures
Use water spray, CO2 or dry chemical to extinguish fires. DO NOT USE WATER JET.
Wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
Wear full protective clothing to prevent contact with skin & eyes, and positive pressure SCBA.
Accidental release measures
In Case of Spill or Release:
Small spills: Do not attempt to sweep up dry materials; use water to dilute. Soak up material with paper towels. Larger spills: Wet down spilled material with water. Scoop into suitable containers for recovery or proper disposal. Ventilate area and wash spill site with soap and water after material pick-up is complete.
Alternatively: Vacuum with HEPA-filtered cleaner, remove and properly dispose of filter.
Handling and storage
Keep container dry. Keep in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed. Store away from strong oxidizing agents, acids, and bases.
Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Do not breathe dust.
In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. If exposed, seek medical advice immediately.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Wear safety glasses with side shields, chemical safety goggles and/or face shield, impervious gloves, and lab coat or Tyvek suit.
Respirator Protection:
For procedures involving large quantities (kilograms) or dust-generating procedures such as weighing, hand scooping, milling, blending, or drying, a “hood or helmet-type” powered air purifying respirator or supplied-air respirator is needed. Base the choice of protection on the job activity, potential for inhalation exposure, or air monitoring data.
Skin Protection:
Rubber gloves are recommended to minimize potential for skin contact when handling the compound in dry form or in aqueous solution. If material is dissolved in organic solvent, wear gloves that protect against solvent penetration. Wear lab coat or other protective over-garment. Base the choice of skin protection on the job activity and potential for skin contact.

Disposal considerations
All wastes containing the material should be properly contained and labeled, and stored separately from other facility discharges. Dispose of any waste residues according to prescribed federal, state or local guidelines, e.g., appropriately permitted chemical waste incinerator. DO NOT DISPOSE OF DOWN THE DRAIN. Rinsewaters resulting from spill cleanups should be collected and sent to a licensed waste disposal facility. Disposal methods should be used which, in addition to preventing environmental contamination, also prevent human exposure to the waste residues.
