Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information
There were no studies available in which the toxicokinetic properties of the test substance were investigated. The test substance (molecular weight of 404.3 g/mol) is a solid powder (BASF, 1998a) with a log Pow of 1.5 (BASF, 1998a) and a water solubility of < 1 mg/L (BASF, 1998a). In an acute toxicity study in rats no mortalities and no clinical signs were observed after oral administration of test substance (BASF, 1998b) indicating a low bioavailability of the test substance. Based on molecular weight the test substance could be absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract (ECHA GD 7c, 2008). However, the low water solubility doesn't support a rapid absoprtion via gastrointestinal fluids. Passage through aqueous pores is not very likely due to the high molecular weight (ECHA GD 7c, 2008). Furthermore, passive diffusion is possible because of the moderate log Pow (1.5). No information from acute or repeated dose toxicity or sensitization studies are available, which could provide information about the systemic distribution of the test substance after oral or dermal exposure. Dermal absorption of the test substance seems unlikely, based on the water solubility which is proposed to result in a low dermal uptake. The test substance itself has a very low vapor pressure of < 0.000001 Pa at 20°C (BASF, 1998a). Therefore, a low potential of toxicity of the substance vapor via the inhalative route is considered. No information on particle size distribution is availabale. Thus, the absorption of dust via the inhalative route can not be assessed.
