First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures
Inhalation: Move affected person to fresh air and keep warm and at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Get medical attention if symptoms are severe or persist.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Give plenty of water to drink. Get medical attention.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Eye contact: Remove any contact lenses and open eyelids wide apart. Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Skin contact: If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/ attention.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Notes for the doctor: For detailed information on the ingredients see Section 3. Symptomatic treatment is advised.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, fog or mist.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: None known.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Specific hazards: Containers close to fire should be removed or cooled with water.
Hazardous combustion products: Thermal decomposition or combustion products may include the following substances: Irritating gases or vapours.
Advice for firefighters
Protective actions during firefighting: Wear positive-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and appropriate protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Personal precautions: Wear protective clothing as described in Section 8 of this safety data sheet.
Environmental precautions
Environmental precautions: Avoid discharge into drains or watercourses or onto the ground.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Methods for cleaning up: Absorb in vermiculite, dry sand or earth and place into containers. Transfer to a container for disposal.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Usage precautions: Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged skin contact. Do not empty into drains. confined spaces without adequate ventilation and/or respirator.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Storage precautions: Store in tightly-closed, original container in a well-ventilated place. Avoid the following conditions: Strong oxidising agents. Water, moisture. Storage life is 2 years if stored in accordance with advice given above.
