Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Ethanol:
Measurements at 20C: 1.17, 1.22 mPas
Isopropanol:
Two separate TGD-approved handbooks agree that the substance has a viscosity of about 2.1 mPa.s at 25°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Viscosity:
1.22 mPa · s (dynamic)
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

Based on data for the two constituents it is concluded that the viscosity for the reaction mass will be in the same order of magnitude.

Isopropanol:

Information regarding viscosity of IPA was sourced from CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics (81st Ed), and the Condensed Chemical Dictionary (10th Ed), which are known to contain peer-reviewed data of Klimisch-2 reliability. The aforementioned handbooks state that the substance has a viscosity of about 2.1 mPa.s at 25°C.
