Description of key information
Additional information
Na-2-EH is a colourless powder.
According to OECD102 study the melting point of Na-2-EH is 135-155°C.
According to OECD103 study the boiling point of Na-2-EH is 157°C (decomposition) at 101.9 kPa.
According to OECD109 study the density of Na-2-EH is 1.0704 ± 0.0010 g/cm³ at 20°C and the relative density is D420 = 1.07.
According to ISO13320 / EN481 the particle size parameters for Na-2-EH are:
D10 29.9 ± 0.3 μm / D50 61.6 ± 0.5 μm / D90 129.4 ± 10.4 μm
Fraction less than 1μ 0.0 ± 0.0 vol% / Fraction less than 4μ 1.2 ± 0.1 vol% / Fraction less than 10μ 3.5 ± 0.1 vol% / Fraction less than 100μ 83.2 ± 1
According to OECD104 study the vapour pressure of Na-2-EH is <10^-6 Pa at 20°C and <10^-6 Pa at 25°C and <10^-6 Pa at 50°C.
According to OECD117 study the partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) of Na-2-EH is log pow=1.3.
According to OECD105 study the water solubility of Na-2-EH is >1000 g/L at 20°C.
According to OECD115 study the surface tension of Na-2-EH is 68.6 ± 0.9 mN/m at a concentration of 1 g/l at 20°C.
There are no structural alerts within Na-2-EH and great experience in handling and use give evidence that no Pyrophoricity and no Flammability on contact with water properties give any concern.
Flammability
Na-2-EH is a is considered to have no explosive properties as there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule.
Na-2-EH is a is considered to have no oxidising properties as there are no halogen or oxygen atoms bond to nitrogen or oxygen.
Na-2-EH is a is considered to be stable in common organic solvents.
The calculated pka of Na-2-EH is 4.82 ± 0.25 at 25°C.
