Description of key information

The photodegradation of Cyclobutanate was estimated by EPIWIN AOP version 4.10. The estimated rate constants (in cm3.molecule^-1.s^-1) are 68.5 * 10^-12(OH radicals) and 20.0 * 10^-17(O3). Combined with estimated ambient atmospheric concentrations of OH-radicals, an atmospheric half-lifetime of 1.9 hours is calculated based on a 12-hour daylight average atmospheric concentration of 1.5 * 10^6molecule cm^-3, assuming a daylight period of 12 h. For the CSA these values will not be used because the exposure model EUSES does not consider these values.

For reaction with O3, the atmospheric half -lifetime is 1.4 h with 7 * 10^11mol/cm3. These data indicate that the atmospheric lifetime of Cyclobutanate is sufficiently short that it will not undergo long-range transport to any significant extent.
