Description of key information
Using the weight of evidence approach, it can be concouded that the chemical diiodohydroxyquinoline is not likely to bio-accumulate in the aquatic and sediment environment since the bio-concentration factor (BCF) values range from 45 to 283. All the BCF values are much below the threshold of 1000 which confirm the non-bioaccumulative characteristic of the chemical. The key value of BCF has been considered to be 74 for the chemical safety asssessment.
The BCF value of diiodohydroxyquinoline is estimated to be 200. This value indicates that diiodohydroxyquinoline is not expected to bioaccumulate in the food chain because it does not exceed the bioconcentration threshold of >=1000.
