Any other information on results incl. tables
In the test combustion class (Brennzahl) 1, "no ignition", was assigned to the test item. This refers to the test at room temperature and the test at 100°C. By applying an ignition source the test item melted.
In the test with the kieselgur mixture (at room temperature and at 100°C) the burning behaviour was assessed as combustion class 5 "burning with flame or spark generation".
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- not classified based on GHS criteria
- Conclusions:
- The test item has not to be classified as flammable solid according to regulation (EC) 1272/2008.
- Executive summary:
The objective of this study was the determination of the flammability of the test item.
In a screening test according to Directive VDI 2263, part 1, the combustion behaviour of the test item was assessed. Combustion class 1 "no ignition" was assigned (room temperature and 100°C)
In a test with a kieselgur mixture combustion class 5 "burning with flame or spark generation" was recorded. This additional test was performed, because melting was observed when an ignition source was applied.
Thus, the test item has not to be classified as flammable solid according to Regulation (EC) no 1272/2008.
