Conclusion on classification

The substance 1-hexyl-1H-pyrazol-4,5-diamine hemisulfate is not readily biodegradable and it is not considered as potentially bioaccumulable due to a log Kow less than 4. The acute aquatic toxicity LC50/EC50 on fish, daphnia and algae are > 1 mg/L and < 10 mg/l. The chronic toxicity is represented by a NOEC of 0.12 mg/L related to the daphnia reproduction test and an EC10 on the algae growth rate of 0.42 mg/L. Taking into account the chronic toxicity on daphnia and algae which is between 0.1 and 1 mg/L, the acute toxity on fish between 1 and 10 mg/L, and the lack of biodegradation, the substance "1 -hexyl-1H-pyrazol-4,5 -diamine hemisulfate" is classified as dangerous to the environment "Aquatic chronic cat. 2" with the hasard statement H411: Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects, according to the Regulation N° 1272/2008.
