Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.10 (Flammability (Solids))
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The flammability of powders, granules or pastes is determined using a test mould and an ignition source
The mould was loosely filled with test substance and dropped three times from a height of 2 em onto a solid surface. The mould was removed from its holder and excess substance scraped off, an asbestos substitute board placed on the mould, inverted, and the mould removed. The board was placed in the draught box, across the line of draught in a fume cupboard.

A hot flame (minimum diameter 5 mm) was applied to one end of the pile for 2 minutes, and any propagation timed along 200 mm of its length
GLP compliance:
yes
