Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Seek immediate medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical
attention if irritation occurs.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical
attention if irritation occurs.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, dry foam or chemical may be used.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,
nitrogen and hydrogen chloride gas.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing
apparatus must be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1). Absorb spill
using a suitable inert material (eg sand, soil or
vermiculite). Sweep up and transfer to labelled containers
or use a sealed industrial vacuum. Dispose of by
incineration or at a landfill in accordance with local
regulations. Wash spill site with water and detergent.
Handling and storage
Handling: Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid inhalation, skin and eye
contact. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves, safety
goggles and respirators appropriate to national standards.
Storage: Store in tightly closed containers in a cool dry
well-ventilated area.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Polythene bags inside 50 kg fibre kegs.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not possible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of solutions mixed with
inert material (eg sand or soil) may be disposed of by
landfill at an authorised tip in accordance with local
regulations. (A650)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance may be diposed of by incineration at a
suitable facility. Waste gas treatment to remove oxides of
nitrogen and hydrogen chloride gas should be fitted. (A661)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended. The substance will not be discharged
directly to the sewage system or the aqueous environment.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
