Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Seek medical attention if
signs of toxicity occur. Symptomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush with water. If irritation persists seek medical
attention. Symtomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Skin: Rinse with water. If irritation persists seek medical
attention. Symtomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide may be used.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and
nitrogen.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing
apparatus. Should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: All clean-up workers should wear protective clothing as
detailed under handling procedures in Section 2.3.1. The
spill should be contained as much as possible. Avoid the
creation of dust. Recover product and place in an double
polythene bag in a fibre keg and dispose of by incineration.
Ventilate and wash area.
Handling and storage
Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling organic
chemicals. Local exhaust ventilation should be in place to
control dust at source. Handlers should wear rubber gloves,
safety glasses, and a half mask (dust mask) conforming to
British Standard No. BS 6016 Type II.
Storage: Store in a double polyethylene lined bag, inside an air
tight UN approved fibre drum. Current drum size is
approximately 64 cm high x 43 cm diameter. The product net
weight is 50 kg/drum. Protect from light.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Store in a double polyethylene lined bag, inside an air
tight UN-approved fibre drum, protected from light.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not feasible except for large
quantities.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous properties.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incinerate at a suitable facility. Waste gas treatment to
remove oxides of nitrogen should be fitted. (A660)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
