Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: If inhaled move to fresh air. If not breathing give
artificial respiration. Consult a physician.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse eyes thoroughly with running water (approximately 15
minutes) and consult a physician if any symptoms persist.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with
soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Only as long as the patient is fully conscious: wash mouth
and have the victim drink copious amounts of water (often
vomiting will be induced). Consult a physician immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, CO2, foam
Product arising from burning: Carbon oxides, nitooxides, HCl
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: In the event of spillage, the solid material will be
collected in dry form, sealed in a lined drum, labelled and
incinerated. The subsequent water washings are isolated,
analysed and treated in the waste treatment unit or
incinerated depending on concentration.
Liquid spillages would be isolated in the spill basin as
described above.
Handling and storage
Handling: Engineering:
Glove box with HEPA filtration and vacuum-operated Powder
Transfer System.
PPE:
Operators to wear:
Nitrile gloves in line with EN 374
Chemical protective suit in line with EN 13982
Protective footwear to EN 345
Safety glasses in line with EN 1661
Airhood in line with EN 270
Storage: The enclosed substance, suitably labeled, will be stored
under cover in a warehouse unit at ambient temperature until
required for use in the production building. Only the
required amount for one batch will be transferred to the
production building at any one time.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The solid will be delivered packed in two high density
polyethylene liners stored in a steel drum containing, 90kg
of product.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: There is no stoichiometric excess used of the notifiable
substance in the reaction mixture. Recovery of the unreacted
material will not be carried out due to use of no excess of
this material and technical issues for recovery in
sufficient purity for re-use.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: It is not anticipated that this will apply. Any unwanted
material would be incinerated at a licensed incineration
facility in the EU.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: As described above, all process effluent will be contained,
not allowed to enter the environment and will be sent for
incineration or incinerated on site.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Not applicable.
