Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient from exposure. Obtain medical attention if
ill effects occur.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately rinse thoroughly for least 15 minutes with the
lids wide open (eye rinse bottle)
Emergency measure - Skin: Treat hands with protection cream. In case of skin contact
with powders or solutions immediately rinse the areas
affected contionusly with water and then wash with soap and
water.
In no case it is permitted to clean the skin with solvents
(e.g. ethanol). Risk of absorption through the skin.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with lots of water.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water jet, carbon dioxide, foam, powder
Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrous gases
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Self-contained breath apparatus and tightly closeable
chemical protective clothes.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Take up spilt material avoiding formation of dust (e.g. by
previous wetting with water or by using an approved
industrial vacuum cleaner). Carefully transfer the spillage
into waste containers which have to be tightly closed and
labelled according to TRGS 201. Send these containers back
to the manufacturer. While taking up the spillage and
cleaning the polluted area avoid skin and eye contact as
well as inhalation of the substance e.g. by wearing
appropriate personal protective equipment (see section
"Handling"). Clean the contaminated area with plenty of
water.
Handling and storage
Handling: Alle Arbeitsverfahren sind grundsätzlich so zu gestalten,
dass der Haut- und Augenkontakt mit dem Stoff
ausgeschlossen ist. Das Einatmen des Stoffes ist zu
vermeiden. Bei Umfüll- und Dosierarbeiten sowie bei
Probenahmen sollten geschlossene Vorrichtungen verwendet
werden. Beim Umgang in offenen Systemen sollte möglicher
Staub unmittelbar am Entstehungsort abgesaugt werden.
Wenn technische Absaug- oder Lüftungsmaßnahmen nicht möglich
oder unzureichend sind, sollte Atemschutz (z.B. Filter Typ
sicherer Augenschutz (z.B. Korbbrille) ist unbedingt
erforderlich. In unmittelbarer Nähe des Arbeitsbereiches
sollten Notbrausen installiert sein, ausreichende
Waschgelegenheiten zur Verfügung stehen sowie Augenbrausen
bereitgestellt und ihr Standort auffällig gekennzeichnet
werden. Nach Hautkontakt sollten die betroffenen
Körperstellen sofort gründlich mit ::: gereinigt werden.
Kontaminierte Kleidung ist sofort zu wechseln. Besondere
Hautschutz- und Hautpflegemaßnahmen werden empfohlen. Es ist
ein Hautschutzplan aufzustellen. Bei möglicher
Staubentwickung sollten wegen der potentiellen
Staubexplosionsgefahr potentielle Zündquellen aus dem
Arbeitsbereich entfernt werden. Des weiteren sollten
Maßnahmen gegen elektrostatische Aufladungen getroffen
werden.
"ENGLISH"
All work process must always be designed so that skin and
eye contact with the substance is excluded. Inhalation of
the substance must be avoided. Closed equipment should be
used during transfer and metered feeding. In the case of
handling in open systems, any dust that may form should be
extracted directly at the point of origin., If technical
extraction or ventilation measures are not possible or are
insufficient, respiratory protection (e.g.:::) should be
worn. Tested protective gloves (e.g. made of nitrile rubber)
and suitable protective clothing (e.g.:::) must be worn even
if only short-term skin contact is possible. Safe eye
protection (e.g. tightly fitting goggles) is absolutely
essential. Emergency showers should be installed in the
immediate vicinity of the work area, sufficient washing
facilities and eye douches should be available and their
location conspicuously marked. After skin contact the
affected parts of the body should be immediately thoroughly
cleaned using :::. Contaminated clothing must be changed
immediately. Special skin protection and skin-care measures
are recommended. A skin-protection plan must be drawn up.
Due to the potential risk of a dust explosion, potential
ignition sources should be removed from the work area if
there is the possibility of dust formation. In addition,
measures should be taken to avoid static discharge.
Storage: Store tightly closed, dry and protected from light and heat
in according to the regulations labeled and secure PE-bags
which should be secured against falling. Avoid dust
formation and residues on the outside of the containers.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: For transportation, use 25 kg fiber drums licensed in
accordance with commercial law.

Exposure controls / personal protection
This intermediate is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with the ECHA REACH Guidance on Intermediates. Site documentation to demonstrate safe handling arrangements in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.
Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection: respirator with P3 filter
Eye protection: safety glasses with side-shields
Hand protection: During the handling of the substance according to the intended use protection gloves from nitrile rubber have been proved. During the handling of pure solid substances or powder mixtures a permeation of the rubber material is not to be expected. In case of doubt, especially
during handling of the substance together with organic solvents, the stability of the protection gloves has to be clarified with the manufacturer.
Skin and body protection: Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place.
Stability and reactivity
Condition to avoid: No data available
Materials to avoid: Oxidizing agents, Strong acids
Hazardous reactions: None known
Disposal considerations
Product: Dispose of as special waste in compliance with local and national regulations
