Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Recommended extinguishing agents: Water, foam, carbon
dioxide and dry powder may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products arising from pyrolysis: Products of combustion may
contain oxides of carbon and nitrogen together with
hydrogen chloride gas, water and some soot.

Protective equipment: Protective equipment: A self contained breathing apparatus
and full protective clothing should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1). Take up the

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Contaminated material is dissolved in a suitable solvent
and purified by repeated recrystallisation.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method at a suitable facility. Waste gas
treatment to remove nitrogen oxides and hydrogen chloride
gas should be fitted.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from preparations is not possible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance will only enter the public domain in the form
of preparations that may be disposed of with normal
domestic waste.
