Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Log Koc of the component diisotridecyl adipate was calculated to 7.08 (MCI method). Optionally, log Koc was estimated to 8.00 using log Kow.
Log Koc of the component diisotridecyl sebbacate was calculated to 8.055 (MCI method). Optionally, log Koc was estimated to 9.002 using log Kow.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
12 123 000

Additional information

The Koc of the components diisotridecyl adipate and diisotridecyl sebacate were estimated with the program US EPA EPI Suite (v 4.00), program component KOCWIN (MWC, 2010 and Sasol, 2013). Using a correlation based on molecular connectivity index, the log Koc was determined to be 7.0836 (Koc = 1.2123E07 L/kg) for the component diisotridecyl adipate and for the component diisotridecyl sebacate 8.055 (KOC = 1.135E08 L/kg). Using a correlation based on Kow, the log Koc was 8.0012 for the component diisotridecyl adipate (Koc = 1.00277E08 L/kg) (MWC, 2010) and 9.002 (1.005E09 L/kg) for the component diisotridecyl sebacate (Sasol, 2013). The high Koc values indicate a distinct potential of the components diisotridecyl adipate and diisotridecyl sebacate to accumulate in soil and sediment.

The McCall classification scheme classifies the substances as immobile in soil (Koc>5000).
