Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The retention time of the test material was less than that of the first eluting standard; therefore, an accurate value of Log Koc could not be given.
Log Koc < 1.25 (estimated), extrapolated log Koc 1.10 (extrapolated); OECD 121, EU Method C.19, Sárvári (2013b).

Additional information

In the key study (Sárvári, 2013b) the absorption coefficient Koc, of the test material was estimated using the HPLC method; the study was performed under GLP conditions and in accordance with OECD 121 and EU Method C.19.

The three calibration series and three test material series were measured alternately. The adsorption coefficient Koc was determined based on a calibration curve using 6 reference items; sodium nitrate, acetanilide, methyl benzoate, isoproturon, triazophos, naphthalene, and fenthion.

The capacity factors k’ were calculated from the dead time and retention times of the reference substances. The log k’ data of the reference substances were plotted against their log Koc values.

Retention time of the test material was less than that of the first eluting standard, acetanilide. This result showed that log Koc of the test material was less than the calibrated range. Therefore no accurate value of log Koc could be estimated.

In conclusion, the estimated log Koc was determined to be < 1.25, and the extrapolated log Koc was determined to be 1.10.
