Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information
Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately
After inhalation
When inhaled remove to fresh air and seek medical aid.
After contact with skin
In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with plenty of water. Seek medical aid.
After contact with eyes
Immediately rinse the affected eye with plenty of water, at the same time keep the unaffected eye well protected. An ophthamologist must be consulted.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media
water spray jet
foam
Extinguishing media that must not be used for safety reasons
Full water jet
carbon dioxide
dry powder
Special hazards from the substance itself, its combustion products or from its vapours
In the event of fire the following can be released:
Nitrous gases (NOx)
Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Carbon monoxide (CO)
Hydrogen chloride (HCl)
Sulfur dioxide (SO2)
Special protective equipment for firefighting
Use self-contained breathing apparatus
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Use personal protective clothing.
Keep away sources of ignition.
Environmental precautions
Do not allow to enter drains or waterways
Methods for cleaning up/taking up
Pick up mechanically and with absorbent material (eg sand, kieselgur, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust).
When picked up, treat material as prescribed under heading "Disposal considerations".
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling
Open and handle container with care.
Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary).
Advice on protection against fire and explosion
Keep away from sources of ignition - refrain from smoking.
Further information on storage conditions
Keep container tightly closed in a well-ventilated place

Exposure controls / personal protection
General protective measures
Do not inhale vapours
Avoid contact with eyes and skin
Hygiene measures
Observe the usual precautions when handling chemicals.
Respiratory protection : Use respiratory protection in case of insufficient exhaust ventilation or prolonged exposure
Hand protection :
Butyl rubber gloves
Please note the manufacturers´ detailed statements, especially about the minimum thickness and the minimum breakthrough time. Consider also the particular working conditions under which the gloves are being used.
Eye protection : Depending on the risk, wear sufficient eye protection (safety
glasses with side protection or tightly fitting goggles, and if necessary, face shield.)
Body protection : acid-proof protective clothing
Stability and reactivity
Hazardous reactions
Reactions with water and alkalies
Hazardous decomposition products
hydrogen chloride
Disposal considerations
Product
Product should be be taken to a suitable and authorized waste disposal site in
accordance with relevant regulations and if necessary after consultation with the waste
disposal operator and/or the competent Authorities
Uncleaned packaging
Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste
