Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Aquatic acute toxicity

48 h, EC50 (Daphnia magna): 1.01 mg/L (nominal concentration)

72 h, ErC50 (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata): 1.58 mg/L (nominal concentration)

Aquatic chronic toxicity

72 h, ErC10 (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata): 0.384 mg/L (nominal concentration)

Biodegradation: not readily biodegradable (inorganic substance)

Partition coefficient: not applicable for inorganic substances

Classification according to CLP

The available experimental test data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. The test substance is an inorganic substance, thus, is considered to not be readily biodegradable. The two available aquatic toxicity tests showed similar results and the most sensitive species for the aquatic compartment could not be determined. This Daphnia study revealed a 48-h EC50 of 1.01 mg/L and the algae inhibition study resulted in a 72-h EC50 of 1.58 mg/L and the 72-h EC10 to be 0.384 mg/L. Based on these results, the substance is not classified as short-term (acute) aquatic toxic substance but is classified as long-term (chronic) aquatic toxic substance in Category 2 according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP), as amended for the twelfth time in Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/521.
