Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates (OECD 202)

48 -h EC50 > 100 mg/L (nominal) with corresponds to ato a geometric mean measured concentration of 0.236 mg/L (no adverse effects were observed up to the limit of water solubility)

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria (OECD 201)

72 -h EC50 = 106 µg/L based on growth rate

72 -h EC10 = 68.2 µg/L based on growth rate

Biodegradation (OECD 301F): not readily biodegradable

Algae is considered to be the most sensitive species and the effect levels are used for classification and labelling. Since the 72 -h EC50 value is below 1 mg/L the test item is classified for aquatic acute toxicity category 1 (H400). The 72 -h EC10 value is below 1 mg/L leads to a classification for aquatic chronic toxicity category 1 (H410).
