First-aid measures

- General advice: As a general rule, in case of doubt or if symptoms persist, always seek medical advice.
If the person is uncouscious, he must not ingest anything.

- Following skin contact:
In case of skin and eye contact : Remove immediately shoes and clothing contaminated. Wash with soap and plenty of water.
Consult a doctor immediately in all cases.

- Following eye contact:
Without wasting time, rinse eyes with warm water during 15 minutes keeping the eyelids wide open.
Consult an ophthalmologist immediately in all case.

- Following inhalation:
If inhaled : Move the victim off contaminated area. If not breathing, give artificial respiration.

- Following ingestion:
If swallowed : Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth with water. Consult a doctor.

- Most important symptoms and effects:
In case of skin and eye contact :
Contact with skin : Skin irritation ; Contact with eyes : Eyes irritation
If swallowed : Mucosal lesions, oral and pharyngeal irritation to the gastrointestinal tract, gastric or esophageal distention (for hydrogen peroxide production), abdominal pain, bleeding possible local, vomiting, rupture of the colon, intestinal gangrene with gas embolism.
If inhaled : Irritation of the respiratory mucosa.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment necessary :
Rinse thoroughly with water the area of skin contaminated by substance. Consult a doctor.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media: Recommended : CO2, foam or powder.

- Unsuitable extinguishing media: Prohibited : Do never use sprayed water.

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Cool drums exposed to heat. Toxic gases production when thermical decomposition of product.

- Advice for fire fighter:
Protective measures : Avoid skin and eyes contact. Isolate area.
Special protective equipment : Wear a autonomous respiratory apparatus and anti-acid protective clothing.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions, Protective equipment and emergency procedures:
To the non-rescuers:
Protection equipment : Wear protective gloves with chemical resistant (in PVC, neoprene, in accordance with regulation EN374-3), protective goggles, an anti-acid combination, and non-skid boots in PVC.
Flame, ventilation, dust : Avoid dust formation. Avoid dust inhalation. Ensure an adequate ventilation.
Emergency procedures : If spilled quantities are important, evacuate all personnel and involving only trained operators equipped with protective equipment.

To the rescuers:
Appropriate clothing : Respirator protection in case of aerosol : adequate protective mask type P2 or P3, in accordance with regulation EN143.
Hands protection : protective gloves with chemical resistance in accordance with regulation EN374-3.
Water station nearby.
Eyes protection : wear protective goggles in all case of industrial use. If risk of splashing : chemical proof goggles/face shield.
Skin protection : Clothing waterproof and covering. Track suit/skid boots in PVC, neoprene, if risk of splashing. Shower nearby.

- Environmental precautions:
Prevent discharge into environment (sewers, rivers, soil…). In case of accidental spilling, treat the contaminated soils.
Prevent immediately the relevant authorities in case of important spilling. Respect local and national regulations on aqueous release.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
If spilling : Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Isolate area. If possible, without expose personnel, try to stop the leakage.
Cleaning procedures :
Small quantities : Pick up the product by aspiration and recover the waste in a plastic container.
Big quantities : Recover a maximum of spilled product. Treat contaminated soil.

Handling and storage

Regulations relating to storage premises apply to workshops where the product is handled.
Observe the precautions on the label and the rules of labor work.

- Precautions for safe handling:
Handling : Keep away from flame or heat source. Do not smoke. Handle in a well ventilated place.
Handle and open containers with precaution, avoid shocks. Prohibit access to unauthorized persons.
Catch dust if necessary.
Hygiene : It’s forbidden to smoke, eat and drink into premises where the substance is used. Wash up hands after every handlings.

- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Keep the container well closed, in a dry and well ventilated place. Keep away from combustible materials (wood, cardboard…).
Recommended materials : polyethylene
Materials to avoid : Wood, cardboard…
