Test guideline
- Qualifier:
- according to guideline
- Guideline:
- EN 15051-2 (Workplace exposure. Measurement of the dustiness of bulk materials - Rotating drum method)
- Deviations:
- no
- GLP compliance:
- not specified
- Type of method:
- rotating cylinder
- Sampling:
- Sample amount: 8 g
Each sample has been divided in eight equal lots using a rotary riffler, this rotary riffler is especially designed to minimize the loss of any fine dust. One of these divided lots has been used for determining the bulk density and the moisture content.

Moisture content: 3.88 %
Bulk density: 207.2 kg m-3
It can be concluded based on the RSD values of the inhalable and thoracic fractions (≤15 %) that the dustiness potentials of the independent triplicates are repeatable. These higher RSD values respirable fraction are caused by the lower absolute masses of the dust fractions or inhomogeneity / behaviour of the samples
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The fraction of constituent particles with an aerodynamic diameter <10µm in Pigment Violet 1:2 280PE is <1%
- Executive summary:
The dustiness of Pigment Violet 1:2 280PE was determined by EN 15051 - Rotating drum (method 2)
