Administrative data
First-aid measures
Ingestion: Allow the victim to rest. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice.
Inhalation: Allow the victim to rest. Assure fresh air breathing. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice.
Skin contact : Immediately call the emergency services. Remove contaminated clothes for decontamination by the bottom (not to contaminate the face). Rinse the skin during at least 15 minutes with water at 15° C at 15 cm.
Eye contact : Immediately rinse with clean water for 15-20 minutes, and respect this time. Avoid contaminating the healthy eye during the rinsing. Contact an ophthalmologist if redness or irritation appear.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide. Powder.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Hazardous combustion products: Under fire conditions, hazardous fumes will be present. COx. NOx.
Advice for fire-fighters
Protection against fire: Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment: fire clothes, boots and Individual Respiratory Protection.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Advices for non-emergency personnel: Avoid product contact. Do not breathe vapours. Ensure adequate ventilation. Evacuate the danger area, observe emergency procedures.
Advices for emergency responders: Delimit the discharge area and prohibit the access. Discharges should be handled by trained cleaning personnel equipped with appropriated protection (Section 8).
Environmental precautions
Environmental precautions : Avoid release in sewage, river and ground water (earth dike, sewage shutter). In case of discharge, contact the agreed autority when the situation can not be controlled quickly and effectively.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Clean up methods: Contain the discharges and collect them with absorbing material of the universal trade. Keep the wastes in closed and tight container.
Reference to other sections: Indications about protective equipment (see Section 8). Indications about waste treatment (see Section 13).
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Handling: People with appropriated protection equipment (Section 8).
Industrial hygiene: Wash hands after each handling. Remove the contaminated clothes. Do not drink, eat or smoke in the handling room. Inspect the individual protection equipment after each handling. No personal objects at the work station. Avoid taking contaminated clothes home. Change clothes systematically at coffee breaks or meal times.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Storage: Store at room temperature.
Storage away from: Light.
Specific end use(s)
Apart from the use mentioned in Section 1.2 no other specific use is stipulated.
