Reference
Name:
titanium 2,2',2''-nitrilotrisethanolate - Lead
Type of composition:
legal entity composition of the substance
State / form:
liquid
Reference substance:
titanium 2,2',2''-nitrilotrisethanolate - Lead
PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

This substance is not PBT or vPvB:

Titanium 2,2',2''-nitrilotrisethanolate is hydrolytically unstable. When it comes in contact with water or moisture, a complete hydrolysis will take place with no significant reaction products other than triethanolamine (TEA) and hydrated titanium selate.

P/vP

Thus, the hydrolysis product, TEA, is assessed for p/vP properties. As TEA is readily biodegradable it is concluded that the target substance is not P/vP.

B/vB

Because of the rapid hydrolysis of the target substance, B/vB properties of TEA is assessed. TEA has a low n-octanol / water partition coefficient (-1) which indicates no potential for bioaccummulation.

As TEA is also readily biodagradable it is concluded that the target substance has no potential for bioaccummulation.

T

Ecotoxicity values:

LC50 for freshwater fish 1170 mg/L

EC50/LC50 for freshwater invertebrates 125 mg/L

EC50 for freshwater algae 216 mg/L

The lowest measured aquatic toxicity value of the substance, the LC50 of Freshwater invertebrates is 125 mg/L. The substance is not classified as mutagenic, toxic to reproduction and not possessing any target organ toxicity after repeated exposure. Based on theThis substanceis not toxic (T).
