Description of key information

A 48-hour acute toxicity study with the aquatic invertebrate, Daphnia magna, was conducted in accordance with the OECD test guideline 203 and in compliance with GLP.

The test was performed at nominal concentrations of 1.0, 10 and 100% of a saturated solution prepared at 100 mg/L, under static conditions and in the dark. The initial measured concentration of the highest test concentration (100% saturated solution) was 0.069 mg/L.

The 48-hour EC50 (immobility) for Daphnia magna was beyond the range tested and exceeded the maximum soluble concentration of the test item in test medium used for the test i.e. the EC50 exceeded 0.069 mg/L.
