Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
- Following inhalation:
Move to fresh air.
- Following skin contact:
Wash with plenty of soap and water. If irritation occurs: get medical advice/attention. Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.
- Following eye contact:
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.
- Following ingestion:
Rinse mouth. Get medical attention if symptoms occur.
- Most important symptoms and effects:
Fire-fighting measures
- Suitable extinguishing media:
Use extinguishing measures appropriate to local circumstances and surrounding materials.
- Unsuitable extinguishing media:
Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.
-- Advice for fire fighter:As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.
Accidental release measures
- Personal precautions:
Wear safety glasses, appropriate chemical resistant gloves and clothes.
- Protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Ensure adequate ventilation.
- Environmental precautions:
Prevent release to surface water.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:Pick up and transfer to properly labeled containers
Handling and storage
- Precautions for safe handling:
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Incompatibilities : None known based on information supplied.
